Job description

During your internship within our Banqueting department, you have the opportunity to be part of
the daily activities of the Inspired meetings team. By working alongside a team responsible for
setting up the rooms, the service during the event, and the ro unding off, you are introduced to
various styles of meeting set ups and customers. Business meetings, private lunches, weddings,

What we offer?

The team of the Grand is young and full of passion and motivation. Personal growth is very important
for Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam and that is why we have a fulltime training manager in our
hotel. We offer trainees responsibility and personal coaching to help you to develop your personal
skills. Also there is a possibility to do cross trainings in other departments to broaden your kno wledge
about the hotel industry. The internship fee will be €600 gross based on 38 hours per week. Depending on your living place, a travel allowance is possible and you may have lunch or dinner in the staff restaurant during working hours free of charge.

Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam offers 5-star luxury in a unique Amsterdam historic setting, furnished with French elegance and grandeur. The international hotel is part of the Accor Hospitality Nederland Group. Located in the former city hall of Amsterdam, The Grand has 177 rooms, of which 52 are suites. The Grand also has 19 InspiredMeeting rooms, an urban spa and a fine dining restaurant, Bridges.

Your profile!

We are looking for you if you meet the following requirements:

• Your internship for a minimum period of 5 months or longer
• Enrolled in a hospitality management study
• Work in an accurate manner with attention to detail
• Willing to learn, show initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm
• Excellence English skills, Dutch is a plus
